Below are my responses to your questions.
1) This new questionnaire/letter you mentioned (communication attached) is
required in order to maintain the BVI's status lawful or is it something
optional?
R: This is not an option item. All BVI entities must comply with the law or can face severe penalties including civil fines up to $75,000.
2) If is it required, what would be the implications in not paying it?
R: The company will be imposed penalties.
3) What is the amount increase in our annuity that reflects this questionnaire/letter services? (Basically how much are you charging to provide these additional services?)
R: There is no increase contemplated at this time. Only a one time fee to file at this time.
I also sent an e-mail regrading the need to continue with the company as it holds shares of the Florida entity which owns the apartment. Let me know if you have any other questions.

I hope this email finds you well.
I am writing regarding my father's company Wond3rfulInvestments. Up until now we haven't yet received the annuity. What would be the status of this matter? We used to deal with Elenice but we just saw she no longer works ar R&S Miami (per my father's last email reply), and I was hoping you could help us.
As mentioned, the situation in Brazil is very complicated as of right now and the economy is not doing well. With the exchange rate around BRL 6.00 to USD1, it makes the situation almost impractical. For this reason, we are sorry but we cannot have any additional costs with OffShoreBVI.
I would like to kindly ask you to check on the subject below as we have no interest in updating our BVI ranking or such ... I guess we do not need ir at the moment.
We look forward to hearing from you with further clarifications and instructions regarding next steps.

Estimado cliente:
Le escribimos con referencia a cambios en la legislaci?n de las Islas V?rgenes Brit?nicas (BVI). BVI ha promulgado una ley llamada Ley de Sustancia Econ?mica, donde las empresas deben clasificarse para determinar si llevan a cabo una ?actividad relevante? seg?n las mismas son definidas por la ley. Esta clasificaci?n la debe hacer la propia empresa, y se debe tener una constancia de la clasificaci?n, es decir que la empresa debe emitir una resoluci?n con dicha clasificaci?n. El texto de la ley se puede encontrar aqu? - "Ley de Sustancias Econ?micas."
Para cumplir con esta nueva normativa, nuestra firma redactar? un acta con la clasificaci?n de la empresa para que uno de los Directores de la empresa la firme. Para poder preparar dicha acta y clasificar a su empresa correctamente, hemos dise?ado un cuestionario con preguntas que nos ayudar?n a recopilar la informaci?n necesaria. A continuaci?n se muestra un enlace al cuestionario para que usted complete. Le agradecemos responder a las preguntas y retornarlas a nuestra firma en un plazo de 15 d?as de recibido este email. Luego de recopilada la informaci?n, prepararemos el acta y se la enviaremos para firma de uno de los Directores.
Cabe destacar que seg?n los requerimientos de la Ley de Sustancia Econ?mica, todas las compa??as de BVI deben hacer un reporte anual al International Tax Authority (ITA) reportando su calificaci?n. Por tanto, en caso de que haya cambios a futuro con respecto de las preguntas del cuestionario, los cambios deber?n ser reportados a nuestra firma para hacer un an?lisis de si las mismas cambian la clasificaci?n de la empresa.
Tome en cuenta que este proceso incurrir? en un costo adicional a la anualidad de la empresa. La factura por este costo ser? enviada en conjunto con el acta para la firma de uno de los Directores.
